We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven 2 x Junior Crew Operator who will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our internal database while shaping the quality of crew deployed across our vessels. This position goes beyond data management—it is about ensuring that every crew member meets the highest standards of competence, compliance, and professionalism, contributing to exceptional service on board.
As a central figure in crew change coordination, the Crew Operator ensures smooth, timely, and precise processes—from verifying seafarer profiles and documentation to organizing travel, visas, and onboarding logistics. The role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
In this dynamic role, the Crew Operator will:
Perform thorough checks of seafarers’ certificates and personal data;
Maintain and verify crew profiles within the internal database (Jaws);
Collect and manage CVs, ensuring the database remains up-to-date and reliable;
Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency;
Research and resolve incomplete or inconsistent applicant information;
Support applicants by providing clear guidance on documentation and system requirements;
Generate reports, manage records, and perform administrative tasks such as filing and document handling;
Coordinate all aspects of crew changes, including travel arrangements, medical requirements, and logistics;
Liaise with Backoffice and clients to ensure seamless crew deployment and contract processes;
Oversee visa procedures, transportation, and onboarding coordination;
Ensure compliance with flag state regulations, certification requirements, and safe manning standards;
Work in alignment with ORCA’s Corporate Management System and operational standards.
This role primarily focuses on the Philippines maritime market but may extend to other regions as required.
