The 2023 Kuršių Marių Regatta marked a significant milestone for ORCA Crew as the team made its debut in one of Lithuania’s most prestigious and longest-running sailing competitions. More than just a race, it was the beginning of ORCA’s competitive sailing journey and an opportunity to gain invaluable experience on the water.
Throughout the week-long regatta, the crew faced a variety of weather conditions, demanding offshore legs between Klaipėda and Nida, and strong competition in the RS280 class. As first-time participants, the team encountered the natural challenges of a debut campaign, but approached every race with determination, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
While the final result placed ORCA Crew eighth in the RS280 fleet, the experience proved far more valuable than the finishing position alone. The regatta laid the foundation for the team’s future development, helping build confidence, strengthen collaboration on board, and prepare for even stronger performances in the seasons ahead.
The 2023 edition of the Kuršių Marių Regatta became the first chapter in ORCA Crew’s sailing story, inspiring the team to return with greater experience, renewed ambition, and an even stronger commitment to excellence both on and off the water.
